Marc has composed for orchestra, band, mixed ensembles, choirs, and a variety of solo instruments. His live music reflects this training, but also draws from rock, jazz, folk, blues, and even Near and Far Eastern traditions. In addition to his ‘fixed’ compositions he loves to improvise and often employs open tunings, creating a fluid and dynamic bass drone underneath his solo lines. He also uses a digital delay at times so that he can play in canon with himself, creating an 'ensemble' of one.
